Burying your anger

Anger is obviously a negative word and we want as few as possible negativity in our lives because anger as we know it can be a cause of many evil things and instead of leaving you joy and contentment, it leaves you sadness and regret.

It’s not wise to harness anger for whatever reasons it maybe. Anger does many horrible things to us humans, it makes us blind, deaf, lose respect and even makes us loose our reasoning and ourselves.

They say we should just learn to forgive and forget. Forgiving, is it possible? Yes, it’s possible though we all know it’s a really tough job to forgive but forgetting, that’s a different story. Honestly, could we really forget? If forgiving is hard then this one is far more than that unless you put yourself in a trance.

That is why I say we should always bury the cause of our anger 9 feet under the ground. It’s not totally gone but it’s obviously no where in sight because really sometimes even if we want to forget things it’s hard so just bury it and try to forgive. That one would be easier. You know it happened but you shouldn’t have to contemplate with that negative feeling too much.

Look at the brighter side, what did you learn from it and also always be reminded that anything done with anger would really be close to impossible to result into something beautiful or good.

So take my advice. Just burry the cause of your anger and try to forgive. Yeah maybe from time to time you’d remember it but you don’t always have to. Slowly dig under and when its deep enough, go throw it and leave it. Though its not totally forgotten at least very seldome would you have to remember it and you’ll see soon enough the anger is gone.

Sleepless Nights

Every time a problem is faced, that’s the time when we need a lot of energy to pass it through but somehow, sometimes thinking about this problems gives us sleepless nights. We just can’t help but to think about what’s bothering us by the end of the day when we’re alone until it would  be too late to notice that it’s been way past bedtime.

First, we have our problems, second, we have these sleepless nights that drains a lot of our energy and third, how do we solve these? These  are our 3 problems. Actually, those really aren’t the problem at all because deep inside, we know what we should do to face these problems. The real problem is we are afraid, we are not ready to take the first step. Although the problem may be caused by others or some other factor, the solution lies on ourselves.

How long are we going to detain ourselves from being free? Problems are just there to go through in life. It’s normal, everyone must go through it, we just have to go through. Although the way out of the problem may seem like going through a needle, we know that we should always find a way, there is no problem without a solution.

You may ask, “What if my problems are like some impossible math problems in calculus or in physics and I’m not some genius kid to answer that kind of problem?” Well the answer is simple, obviously, as the saying goes, no man is an island, there always someone we can turn to for help, we call them experts. These are the people we thrust and we know loves us, They give you pieces of advice, they help us, they want what’s best for us.

Finally, after taking the first step, keep on going, never give up, get your way out of the darkness and be free. No more great problems, no more sleepless nights, just the happy, beautiful and healthy you.

Being blind, deaf and mute

I happened to be a victim of a dumb decision.

Why?

That is because I became blind. I was blind to see what’s there right in front of me and wanted more. I had always want to feel love. I was confused, what is love? I searched for love in company of others, I was happy yes but that happiness was temporary and just like a bubble, all of sudden it just puffs in the air and was gone. What I thought was true love isn’t what true love really is.

Another factor is because I was deaf. The people important to me – the ones always there for me – never failed never ceased of reminding me, giving advises but once it goes inside my right ear, it goes out to the left. I just kept on doing what I think I should do, without consideration to what they all have said. I kept on doing that for as long as I can remember

A little later, not only was I blind, deaf, I was also mute. You know what happens when you don’t listen, bad things happen. Yes, things really didn’t go well for me. I was afraid. I couldn’t speak. Afraid that after revealing what has been of me, I would get horribly rejected, disowned even. Telling the truth was never as hard as it was then.

Maybe you might ask. “How could a person be blind, deaf and mute all at the same time?” Well I tell you it’s possible. I was that person, I became that because I thought I live solely for myself. Little did I know that with my actions, people who are dear to me would greatly be affected.

Only when I learned how to speak did the darkness start to disappear and was replaced by light which made it possible for me to see. Because of that light I learned also how to listen.

It’s strange that only when you realize that your inside your darkest pit will you be able to see, hear and speak. Life’s a mystery, sometimes you wont know if the things happening to you is a curse or a gift. But you know what? If there’s one thing I learned, it is that always keep up your optimism. Don’t let gravity keep on pulling you downwards, if you do that, it will just take you deeper and deeper into the ground and eat you ’til you can’t breathe.

I always say this, don’t give up. Open your eyes and next to that, your ears will open, your mouth will and there’s another thing.

Your heart will open as well.

Taking a Fall

I actually just got home from a recognition ceremony and an inspirational speaker (Ms. Gretchen Ho) really did inspire me to write about this topic, taking a fall. She said that in order to win, you must know how it feels to fail. And its true, failure makes us humble. Failure makes us realize that we are human beings, that in this mortal world, we can’t be perfect but as a human being we strive to be at least near to perfection. As human beings, we always aspire for something, we are insatiable, As a highly intellectual creatures of this world, we cant help but to have what you call pride. Though pride is not bad, but there still has to be an ample amount of humility in us. Humility is a good virtue, it helps us keep our feet on the ground, That is why as a human, we must remember to be a humble man.

When we fall, with humility, we learn to accept, we become stronger. Just like a baby trying to walk for the first time. The baby without knowing, never gives up, trying and trying to stand, taking each fall as a means to learn and improve their muscles so that the next time they try to stand and walk, they can. A baby is the humblest creature you can find on earth that’s why they are adored and we watch them try everyday learning new things as they grow.

Just like a baby, we fall, we get injured, but having experienced such, we become stronger. If we give up, if we let our pride eat us, then we will just remain as we are now. We will stop improving. That is why we don’t have to be afraid to take a fall, in fact, we must think of that fall as a way to improve ourselves. It is more shameful to give up rather than try to stand up, run and keep on fighting.

I remember the story of “The King of Frost” in The Yellow Fairy Book of Andrew Lang. The step daughter, because she was filled with humility, when she was sent into an icy field to die in frost, the king frost despite giving her great amount of cold pitied her because of her courteousness and “wrapped her up in furs, and covered her with blankets, and he fetched a great box, in which were beautiful jewels and a rich robe embroidered in gold and silver. And she put it on, and looked more lovely than ever.”

Let us be like the step daughter. Despite being rejected, despite experiencing torment, she remained humble causing her not only to survive but bringing with her a chest of gold as she was driven home.We wouldn’t exactly or necessarily get to have a chest of gold in the end but if we keep moving forward despite the odds, if we let ourselves be forged with our failure, then we could be shaped into our ideal self.

Again, don’t be afraid to take a fall, rise, continue to run, believe in yourself and reach your goal.

Escape but “Don’t Quit”

If you ever feel helpless or hopeless, don’t. All of us experience trials everyday. Being pressured, being confused, being hungry or thirsty, being lost, being rebuked, being isolated, being judged, all those negative state of being. Those are always present and no matter what extent it’s degree may reach, don’t falter, don’t let it make you feel down. Sometimes you just have to free yourself. Take time to go out. Open your eyes to life’s beauty.

Everything is set out in the open for us to see that there are a lot of things to live for. Taste new flavors, go to places you’ve never been, run, feel the wind touch your face and release the energy. Do some sports, watch TV, listen to music, play with kids, hang out with friends, all the fun stuff you could think of. Once you feel lighter, again, take a look at that mind bugging problem you have in there and maybe you could find the answer you need. And, whatever you do, don’t quit.

Because of that, I’d like to share a wonderful poem by an anonymous person entitled, “Don’t Quit”

Don’t Quit

by Anonymous

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit!

Remember, we have a goal, there’s a prize waiting for you ahead.
